Services Offered under this Program

Counselling

Our Counselling service provides compassionate, tailored support to individuals navigating life’s challenges. With a team of highly trained professionals specialising in diverse therapeutic approaches, we create a safe, confidential space for personal growth and healing.

Whether you’re seeking help with mental health, relationship concerns, or personal development, our service is here to empower you on your journey toward well-being.

Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapy service offers professional, evidence-based support to help individuals build sustainable independence and thrive in their daily lives.

Delivered through virtual sessions, our registered and highly trained occupational therapists provide clinical assessment, tailored strategies and proven interventions.

A deep understanding of how physical, cognitive, psychological, cultural and environmental factors interact, enables occupational therapists to identify and interpret the complexities of mental and physical health conditions, in the context of the individual’s personal life situation and the environments they live, play, study and work in.

By focusing on practical, individualised and sustainable solutions, we empower individuals to overcome barriers to participation, adapt their environments, understand themselves better and achieve meaningful goals—all from the comfort of their own home.

Whānau Support

Our Whānau Support program is designed to empower the friends, family, and loved ones of individuals experiencing mental health or behavioural challenges. We provide practical tools, culturally responsive guidance, and a safe space to learn, share, and grow.

By focusing on understanding and connection, our service helps strengthen relationships and equip whānau with the skills to support their loved ones while maintaining their own well-being.

Psychological Services

Our Psychological Services (non-diagnostic) provide personalised support to individuals seeking guidance and strategies for personal growth, emotional wellbeing, and everyday challenges.

These services focus on understanding and addressing concerns without formal diagnoses, offering a safe, supportive space for exploration and empowerment. Whether you’re navigating stress, improving relationships, or enhancing self-awareness, our approach is tailored to meet your unique needs and goals.

Group Therapy - waitlist

Our Group Therapy sessions are conducted online, providing a supportive and accessible space to connect with others who share similar experiences. We currently have a waitlist for our groups, but we’re here to ensure you find the support you need as soon as possible.

Explore our range of topics and join a community focused on growth, understanding, and shared healing. Sign up today to secure your spot on the waitlist!

Making Mental Health Support Accessible

At The ACFB Fund, we believe that everyone deserves access to mental health support and resources, regardless of their circumstances. Our mission is to break down barriers and foster a society that embraces inclusivity, resilience, and well-being.

If you are looking for autism related funding through NASC/ Whaikaha then this is not the assessment for you at this time.

Whaikaha have changed their minds after years of accepting telehealth diagnoses and have said our diagnoses no longer meet their long list of strict criteria. We will be providing support to those who already received a diagnosis with us but are not sure about going forward if we will continue the higher requirements now set forth by Whaikaha.

In the meantime, we are advocating to anyone and everyone who might be able to help us and would love your support as well. Please make a complaint. You can find more information on the Whaikaha website here.

The ACFB Fund is not a crisis counselling centre, and we cannot provide emergency services for active or prospective clients.

If you’re in a life-threatening situation or experiencing a mental health emergency, this service is not appropriate for you at this time. Instead, use the following helplines to get the support you need:

  • Lifeline New Zealand: 0800 543 354 (call or text)
  • Suicide Crisis Helpline: 0508 828 865 (0508 TAUTOKO)
  • 1737 – Need to Talk?: Free call or text 1737 to speak with a trained counsellor (available 24/7)
  • Healthline: 0800 611 116 (available 24/7)

These contacts are available for immediate crisis support and can help connect you to further assistance.
